Limitless Living

This Sunday afternoon, I spent my time changing my bedroom around. You know, doing a little Feng Shui and what not! While I was cleaning up and moving around, I decided to listen to a podcast recorded by Myliek Teele, CEO of curlBox. I often listen to her podcasts because her black girl magic just inspires me to find my passion, make sound decisions and keep going forward. While listening to her podcast today, a few statements that she said deeply resonated with me and I thought that it could be inspiring to you too!

Myliek was explaining that before she launched her business, she would regularly drive around in neighborhoods with expensive homes. One home she admired so much was worth $600k. At that point in her life, she was no where near close to owning a home that costs that much. However, she would still drive around in these neighborhoods, looking around...Two years ago, she was able to purchase a home that's worth more than the home that she once admired so much. After sharing her story, she said 3 three things that really spoke to me:

"[It's] like this thing of constantly putting yourself where you want to be...It convinces your mind that like I belong here, I deserve this and I'm going to sit here till y'all open the door...You're looking for limitless living!"

Me:

That's so me right now and I'm sure it's so many of you! I know what I want, what I deserve and I'm not going to limit myself into thinking that I will never have it. By putting your mind in to a space of "limitless living," you believe in yourself and keep pushing forward because you know exactly where you are supposed to me despite your current situation. There's so much that I want to do and have that really connects with my passion. However, I do not have any road map of how to get there. I will just keep learning my way through and spending late nights and early mornings working towards my dream because "I'm going to sit here till y'all open the door!"

If you have a passion or a desire for something at a greater level than where you are, surround yourself with the elements that embody that desire, even if you no idea of how you are going to obtain it. You know why? Because anything outside of that level will make you feel uncomfortable, like that's not where you supposed to be. It will push you to work harder, become more innovative and go beyond your comfort zone to reach it.
