Biossance 100% Squalane Oil Product Review

Hey Fabs! It’s your girl Mona Nisa. I’m totally obsessed with all things make-up and skincare. From a little girl, I’ve always struggled with my skin. If you can name it, I’ve probably had an experience with it. As I continue to get my grown woman on, my skin concerns seem to constantly change and evolve. I’m always on the hunt for best skin care and the newest make-up. I live in Target and Sephora is my favorite store (and mobile app). They get me in so much trouble. In this segment of Flawless Fabs, I will take you along on my journey for skin perfection. I’ll also try and review some of the latest and greatest make-up products. If there’s a product you would like me to try, let me know.

I’m obsessed with all things make-up, however, I prefer a more natural daily look on myself. Right now, I’m really into keeping my skin clean and clear. Like many of us, I suffer from large pores, oily skin, dry skin and adult acne. I’ve had oily skin most of teen years and into my adulthood. As I turned another year older this past January, I started to suffer from dry skin and dry patches on my cheeks and chin area. I tried everything I could think of to get rid of the ash and tightness on my face... night time serums and moisturizers, day time moisturizers, a multitude of oils and I even tried Egyptian Magic (We can talk about that later). Then one night, while browsing through my favorite app…Sephora…I came across what has now become my most favorite beauty product…Biossance 100% Squalane Oil ($58, Sephora.com).

Biossance 100% Squalane Oil

After reading through the reviews and doing a little Google research to find out what Squalane oil is, I ordered the product right then and there. I figured, what can it hurt (other than my pockets)? Upon receiving the product, I tried it out that very same night. After cleansing my face, I pumped some of the oil in the palm of my hand, rubbed my palms together to warm the oil, then I patted it into my face and neck.

Biossance 100% Squalene Oil

Immediately, the look of and oil slick returned to my face and I immediately wondered what have I gotten myself into. The oil is very thin and slick so you don’t need much. A little really does go long way. There is no smell (which is a plus). You don’t want an oily and smelly face as your trying to get a peaceful night’s rest. That’s not cute. Although my face appeared to be overly oily at first…the Biossance 100% Squalane Oil sinks right into the skin and you’re left looking less greasy but more glowy (I know that not a real word but it’s the best way I can describe it). After a good night’s rest, I woke up in complete awe of how well my face looked. It looked clear, smooth, hydrated, youthful and let’s not forget very soft to the touch. I did a little happy dance at 5:30 am. I have been hooked ever since.

I started out only using it at night because of the initial oiliness…however, I’ve learned to pump just the right amount that will allow me to use it in the daytime, as well as at, night. Once it settles into your skin, it works great under any other daily moisturizer, spf, and will give you a natural glow under your foundation or tinted moisturizers. This product is on the expensive side but I highly recommend it to every who struggles with dry/combination skin or if you are just looking to maintain that plump, youthful skin and glow. I’m going month 5 using this product and I still have a good amount left before I’ll have to buy another bottle. There are cheaper versions by other brands. If you try those, make sure that is plant derived Squalane Oil….not the oil from the shark’s liver (ewww). If you’re serious about keeping your skin moisturized and hydrated Biossance 100% Squalane Oil is worth the investment.

Until next time…keep glowing!
