If you can name it, I’ve probably had an experience with it. As I continue to get my grown woman on, my skin concerns seem to constantly change and evolve. I’m always on the hunt for best skin care and the newest make-up. I live in Target and Sephora is my favorite store (and mobile app). They get me in so much trouble. In this segment of Flawless Fabs, I will take you along on my journey for skin perfection. I’ll aslo try and review some of the latest and greatest make-up products. Hey Fabs! It’s your girl, Mona Nisa, and I’m back with another product review. While I absolutely love a good face beat, I am serious about keeping my skin clean and clear. I received my July edition of my Sephora Play! Box ($10/mo, Sephora. Com). For those of you who don’t know what that is, I’ll tell you. The Sephora Play! Box is $10/mo subscription box like Ipsy and Birchbox (I know you’ve heard of those, right?). Every month you receive a box delivered by mail. Inside the box are 5 deluxe samples of the latest beauty products and beauty trends.
In July’s Sephora Play! Box was a product that I was super excited to try. It was the deluxe sample of Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding ($38, Sephora.com).
I read a lot of the reviews on Sephora.com about it and my excitement grew. Everyone was saying how much they absolutely loved the product. That was all of the motivation I needed. Starting with a clean, dry face I applied the product to my face with my e.l.f. foundation brush that I got from Target. I think it was only $1 at the time I purchased it but any flat foundation brush will work for this. I recommend getting a cheap one just for mask applications.
I prefer applying my facial masks with this brush because it allows for an even coverage and its less mess on your hands. The consistency of the Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding was the same consistency of pudding we ate as kids (think Jell-O Pudding).
There is a strong smell but I chalked that up to the 2 different charcoals used in the product. It’s strong at first but you get used to it. The Boscia Pore Pudding comes layered in black and white charcoals. When applying to your face, you want to blend it in so that it turns into a grey color.
The mask doesn’t dry up or crack or make your skin feel tight. It’s very comfortable to wear.
After the suggested 20 minutes wait time, I rinsed the mask from my face with warm water. I then pat dry with a clean, damp washcloth and voila the results were amazing.
My skin felt soft, my pores looked clear and I was left with a natural glow even before I moisturized with my Biossance 100% Squalene oil ($58, Sephora.com). I agree with the many four and five-star reviews on Sephora.com. The Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding is worth the $38 investment.
